Welcome to Tyndall Air Force Base - home of the 325th Fighter Wing. You are joining a tremendous team of professionals who are dedicated to our primary mission: Through Trust and Teamwork Train Expeditionary Airpower Experts WHO WILL GUARANTEE AIR DOMINANCE.
As the “Home of Air Dominance,” the 325th Fighter Wing is the host unit at Tyndall, which is also home to more than 30 associate organizations. While each tenant organization performs its own mission in support of Air Force and national security objectives, we operate as one Air Force family and one team – Team Tyndall!
The wing is steeped in a rich history while also on the cutting edge of state-of-the-art technology.
Located on the Florida Panhandle, enjoying sugar-white sandy beaches and the warm emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico, Tyndall AFB is located about 13 miles east of Panama City and 20 miles west of Port St. Joe.
Access to and from the base is via U.S. Highway 98, which intersects U.S. Highway 231 from the north. U.S. Highway 231 is the primary route into Panama City from Interstate 10, located 45 miles north of the city.
Welcome to your new home. Take time to enjoy the area, also known as the “Home of Southern Hospitality” and its people. The Sunshine State should prove to be a rewarding, relaxing and exciting assignment!
